Hi guys I hope you are all well! Tomorrow is my birthday omg guys I cannot believe I’m going to be 21 years old! I guess because I treated like a baby so it feels so old! I apologise for being so slow I have been super busy with my birthday! Also not only is it my birthday tomorrow it marks 1 year  since I started dusk avenue. It’s a very special day for me, I’ll try to have as much up on Instagram ( follow me if you don’t!) 

Now today I’m talking about a product that lets say majority of people would know. Well people that are into make up, skin care etc. The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is something that has been over talked especially when it was featured on Kylie Jenners snapchat. I thought “hey let’s try this out, see if it’s as good as people say”. So I bought it for about $16-$20 on beauty bay. Now I have tried it for about 2 months now, I wanted to really know if I liked it or if I didn’t. You guys know how I am I need to be 100% honest!! 

Now for me I’m in the middle, I like it enough to have bought it but not enough to rave about it, if that makes sense. So what I do is, I use a q tip and apply it to where I have a pimple, I leave it overnight and hope by morning it has decreased in size. You let the lotion set so the pink part of it is on the bottom, when you use the q tip put it down so you have the pink lotion on it, that is what you use on your pimples (if that makes any sense!) 

 Now by the time you put it on your pimple and it dries out completely if does flake so don’t freak when you get little spots of white everywhere. I don’t know if has a different effect of different pimples but for me it does ok with decreasing it. I wouldn’t say it’s a Mircale worker though. You can get it in a glass bottle or travel friendly in a plastic bottle which is great for on the go. 

Is it worth it? 

It’s a good thing to try out especially if pimples is something you struggle with and need any option to go with. Like mentioned before it isn’t a Mircale worker so that could be a deal breaker for some people. I think it’s worth trying out but just keep the expectation to a minimum. I mean it could be the best thing in the world for you or you could hate it, it just comes down to your own judgement!

Cheaper alternative

A cheaper alternative that you would have in your home right now is.. *drumroll* TOOTHPASTE. Trust me toothpaste helps with pimples especially if they are the size of a planet which is usually what I get! So it’s tested by me, it works for me so it might work for you. Now I couldn’t imagine you not having toothpaste so it’s for sure a great alternative! 

Overall whether you get the drying lotion or you use toothpaste they both help it comes down to how much you want to spend.
